Managing Scouts
Overview
Scout profiles are the foundation of Scout Manager. Each scout has a profile with their personal information, rank, and links to their parents/guardians.
Required role: Administrator, Leader, or Den/Patrol Leader (for their assigned scouts)
Adding a Scout
1. Navigate to Membership
Go to Membership → Scouts from the main navigation.
2. Click “Add Scout”
Click the Add Scout button in the upper right.
3. Fill In Profile Information

4. Save
Click Save to create the scout profile.
Editing a Scout
- Go to Membership → Scouts
- Click on the scout’s name to open their profile
- Click Edit to modify their information
- Click Save when done
Viewing a Scout Profile
The scout profile page shows:
- Personal information
- Current rank and advancement progress
- Associated parents/guardians
- Event attendance history
- Activity log
- Account balance (if financial accounts are set up)
Archiving a Scout
When a scout leaves your unit (ages out, transfers, etc.):
- Open the scout’s profile
- Click Archive (or use the admin menu)
- The scout is removed from active rosters but their data is preserved
- An administrator can restore archived scouts at any time from Admin → Archived Users
Tips
- You can also add scouts via CSV import
- Link parents to scouts for automatic email inclusion
- Health form and swim check status appear on the scout’s profile
