Dens & Patrols
Overview
Subunits help you organize scouts into smaller groups — dens for Cub Scout packs and patrols for Scouts BSA troops. Each subunit can have an assigned leader.
Required role: Administrator or Leader

- Optionally assign a den/patrol leader
- Click Save

- Open the den/patrol
- Click Edit
- Select the leader from the dropdown (must be an adult with the Den/Patrol Leader role)

Tips
- Scouts can belong to only one den/patrol at a time
- Moving a scout to a different den/patrol updates distribution lists automatically
- Communication distribution lists auto-update when membership changes
- You can have as many dens/patrols as needed
