Calendar & Export

Overview

Scout Manager provides an interactive calendar with multiple views and the ability to export events to external calendar apps.

Required role: Any logged-in member

Calendar Views

Navigate to Events → Calendar to see your unit’s events in:

  • Month view — traditional calendar grid showing all events
  • Week view — detailed daily breakdown
  • List view — chronological list of upcoming events

Events are color-coded by type (meetings, campouts, service projects, etc.).

Exporting to External Calendars

ICS Download

  1. Go to Events → Calendar
  2. Click the Export button
  3. Choose Download ICS file
  4. Open the downloaded .ics file with your calendar app

Google Calendar Sync

  1. Go to Events → Calendar
  2. Click the Export button
  3. Choose Google Calendar
  4. Copy the subscription URL
  5. In Google Calendar: Other calendars → From URL → paste the URL

The subscription URL stays updated — new events appear automatically in your external calendar.

Apple Calendar / Outlook

Same process — use the subscription URL in your calendar app’s “Add subscription” feature.

Tips

  • Subscription URLs update automatically as events are added/changed
  • Each family member can subscribe independently
  • Calendar exports include event title, time, location, and description
  • The subscription is read-only — RSVP must still be done in Scout Manager
