Newsletters
Overview
Scout Manager’s newsletter feature sends personalized email digests to each family. Unlike regular emails, newsletters pull live data — account balances, health form status, upcoming events — and customize the content for each recipient.
Required role: Administrator or Leader
What’s in a Newsletter
Each family receives a unique email containing:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Custom message | Your written message to the unit (same for everyone) |
| Upcoming events | Next events with dates and RSVP status for their family |
| Account balance | Their family’s current financial balance |
| Health form status | Expiring/expired health forms for their scouts |
| Advancement highlights | Recent requirement sign-offs for their scouts |

- Newsletters are great for monthly unit communications
- Families see only their own data (not other families')
- Parents of multiple scouts see a combined view
