Progress Reports
Overview
The advancement dashboard provides visual progress tracking for each scout, showing how far they are toward their next rank, which merit badges they’re working on, and overall advancement status.
Required role: Any leadership role (view only for parents of their own scouts)
Viewing Progress
Individual Scout Progress
- Go to Membership → Scouts
- Click on a scout’s name
- Click the Advancement tab
You’ll see:
- Current rank progress — percentage complete with a progress bar
- Completed ranks — all previously earned ranks with dates
- Merit badges in progress — badges with at least one requirement signed off
- Completed merit badges — earned badges with dates
- Adventures (Cub Scouts) — required and elective adventures with progress
Unit-Wide View
Navigate to Advancement → Dashboard for an overview of all scouts’ progress at a glance.
Understanding the Display
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Progress bar (%) | Percentage of requirements signed off for the current rank |
| ✅ Green checkmark | Requirement or section fully complete |
| 🔵 Blue partial | Section in progress (some requirements done) |
| ⬜ Empty | Not started |
| ⭐ Eagle-required badge | Merit badge required for Eagle Scout rank |
Tips
- Parents can view their own scout’s progress when logged in
- Progress is calculated based on signed-off requirements, not granted awards
- Use the advancement dashboard before Board of Review to verify completion
