Group Sign-Off
Overview
Group sign-off lets you mark the same requirement as complete for an entire den, patrol, or custom selection of scouts — all at once. This is perfect for den meetings, campout activities, or merit badge classes where many scouts complete the same thing together.
Required role: Administrator, Leader, Awards Coordinator, or Den/Patrol Leader
How to Use Group Sign-Off
1. Navigate to Group Sign-Off
Go to Advancement → Group Sign-Off from the main navigation.
2. Select the Award
Choose the rank, merit badge, or adventure you want to sign off requirements for.
3. Select the Requirement
Pick the specific requirement that scouts have completed.
4. Select Scouts
Choose which scouts completed this requirement:
- By den/patrol — select an entire subunit
- Individual selection — check specific scouts from the roster
5. Confirm and Sign Off
Review your selection and click Sign Off. All selected scouts will have the requirement marked as complete with today’s date.
Tips
- Group sign-off respects existing sign-offs — if a scout already has the requirement signed off, they’re skipped (no duplicate)
- You can sign off one requirement at a time (not multiple requirements in one batch)
- This is especially useful after den meetings or merit badge classes
- Works for ranks, merit badges, and Cub Scout adventures
