Audit Log
Overview
Scout Manager maintains a comprehensive audit log of all data changes. Every create, update, and delete operation is recorded with who did it, when, and what changed.
Required role: Administrator
Viewing the Audit Log
Navigate to Admin → Audit Log from the main navigation.
Filtering
The audit log supports filtering by:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Date range | Show entries within a specific time period |
| User | Who made the change |
| Entity type | What was changed (scout, event, transaction, etc.) |
| Action | Create, Update, or Delete |
What’s Logged
| Entity | Actions Logged |

| Members | Create, edit, archive, restore, role changes |
| Events | Create, edit, delete, RSVP changes |
| Advancement | Requirement sign-off, award grants, undo |
| Transactions | Create, edit, delete |
| Unit settings | Any configuration change |
| Roles | Assignment and removal |
Tips
- The audit log is read-only — entries cannot be modified or deleted
- Useful for resolving disputes (“who changed this?”)
- Required for financial accountability
- Long-term retention — audit entries are never purged
