Archived Users
Overview
When members leave your unit (age out, move away, etc.), they are archived rather than permanently deleted. Archived members are removed from active rosters and distribution lists but their data is preserved and can be restored at any time.
Required role: Administrator
Viewing Archived Users
Navigate to Admin → Archived Users to see all archived members.
The list shows:
- Name
- Type (scout or adult)
- Date archived
- Who archived them
Restoring an Archived User
- Go to Admin → Archived Users
- Find the member you want to restore
- Click Restore
- The member reappears in active rosters with their original data intact
What Happens When Someone Is Archived
- ❌ Removed from active scout/adult rosters
- ❌ Removed from distribution lists
- ❌ Cannot log in (if they had login access)
- ✅ Advancement history preserved
- ✅ Financial records preserved
- ✅ Audit log entries preserved
- ✅ Can be fully restored at any time
Tips
- Archiving is reversible — use it instead of deleting
- A returning scout can be restored with all their advancement history intact
- Archived users don’t count toward roster numbers
- Financial transactions involving archived users remain in the ledger
