New Feature: Personalized Newsletters

We’re excited to announce one of our most-requested features: personalized newsletters.

What Are Personalized Newsletters?

Instead of sending the same generic email to everyone, Scout Manager’s newsletter system generates a unique email for each family that includes:

  • Upcoming events with RSVP status
  • Individual account balance (how much they owe or have in credit)
  • Health form status (expiring soon? expired?)
  • Recent advancement progress for their scouts
  • Custom message from unit leadership

Why This Matters

Unit leaders used to spend hours composing emails, looking up individual balances, and manually noting which families had expired health forms. Now it’s automatic.

How to Set It Up

  1. Navigate to Communication → Newsletter in Scout Manager
  2. Configure which sections to include
  3. Choose your recipients (all families, specific dens/patrols, or custom)
  4. Preview what a family will see
  5. Send immediately or schedule for later

The system pulls live data at send time, so balances and health form statuses are always current.
